Day 78 - Saturday, a scorcher!

It has been hot all day, I was up at 7am and the sweat was running freely by 9am! It's been a lovely day in the hammock apart from a lingering headache and concern about my hands. I did some house keeping and went for a walk on the beach. Found some lovely shells at last.

I tried a snorkel and got some nice photos of parrot fish feeding, and some video. Because the snorkel is quiet, should be able to hear them munching too! Also got a bit of a headache back and amazingly, pins and needles in my hands again.

Parrot fish schools

Eight banded butterfly fish.

Are these actually called Giant Clams? They are moving, I have video!

There is a bird (or a frog?) here that makes a call sounding like " HAP -pee". It's very distinctive. I also saw a hermit crab crossing the path this evening. It's shell looked just like one of the ones I collected this morning, sort of bluish mini conch. The shell was about 6-7 cm long.

A newbie has arrived, Andrea, African French, studying in London. We are all going out for supper very shortly to the village, for barbecued fish. I don't terribly want to be sick again so shall watch what I eat.
Update: BBQ fish in the village ended up as quesadillas at BJ's thank god. Me, Steph, Max and Andrea. Steph has just extended her time here till march and is working kind of as assistant. She is 20 and from Colorado. We had a good chat about skiing. Watched a bit of 'Casino Royale' on Suki's laptop as Mr.Sen Meng, the Khmer house boss, likes James Bond. Nice evening.

My hands are still bothering me.
