Day 69 - 73 - Sihanoukville lost weekend

Spent most of Thursday waiting for the boat. Got to Sihanoukville in the 'medium' boat in the dark and rain. Scary jump to Pier 52. After a tuk tuk negotiation, got to Beach Road guesthouse where I had a swanky $23 poolside room on the first night and then swapped to $12 a night room 101 for the remainder. Breakfast at the Big Easy!

I needed the wifi to book my Sydney accommodation, NZ tour and flight home. Spent most of Friday researching tours and managed to put one together with the help of Freedom Australia. Got some laundry done too, which is such a treat! It truly is the little things in life.

A frog took shelter in my corridor and a huge moth, each wing at least 5cm, followed me outside at one point:

Possibly a puddle frog?

This could be a sphinx moth? See the 'eyes'.

By the way, I think I've identified George as a Tokay Gekko. We also have small lizards (most obvious difference is the delicacy of the feet), which may be similar to oriental grass lizards. They have a peculiar swallowing 'flap' though that I have not seen mentioned with ref to the grass lizard.

Swam and sunbathed on Saturday as it was hot. Despite everything I quite like Serendipity beach. Had some ice cream too.

Booked the tour, Dad seems impressed with it which is a bonus! Also got myself a hair braid just for fun.

Printing and blogging done on Monday, then back to the island at 8am Tuesday.
