Day 61 - Wed - PADI Theory

Slept quite well, the (pink) mosquito net gives a nice feeling of coziness!

The day dawned sunny and dry but did not last, it poured most of the afternoon and eventually everyone retired to bed! The storms are very, VERY loud. At last I know what the stories mean when talking about the sky falling, when the thunder cracks overhead, you do expect pieces of sky to fall down or Thor's or Zeus' hammer to come sizzling past.  In the evening, when it rains like this, the frogs let rip with a jamming session that goes on for hours, and hours upon hours. It's very funny actually as they are so regular, loud and yet almost white noise that its like listening to a tractor engine or something. I honestly did not notice it as an organic sound at all, for a good couple of hours.

Finished my PADI theory (reading in bed). Now for the actual challenge! But wait, it's raining.

More smoking this evening, especially heavy at the weekly trivia game.  A female swan is...a cygnet?, No, no....and none had heard of a cygnet even. (A female swan is a pen).

Caught part of a samurai TV show the Khmer staff were watching. I have discovered I quite like Chinese historical soap operas! This one was a particularly good rip off of 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'. The kittens were playing in the main bungalow. They are not fully weaned yet.

Spotted George junior this eve. He guards my sunscreen shelf.  I also saw the black and white swallowtail again today and realised it explains why the local black and white striped fish is called a butterfly fish!
